The Training

The sessions are generally 1 1/2 to  2 hours long, depending on which class you are attending. They are suited to the student's individual experience and capabilities. The session will start with a short warm up, with the student then progressing on to specific areas of street defence. This is where the fast and very effective skills of Pressure Point Self Defence ensure that all areas of the street confrontation are covered, throughout the whole situation. Therefore the training could include any of the following:

· Awareness Training
· Pre-fight Situation Control (Verbal & Physical Defences)
· Pre-emptive Strikes
· Standing Attacks (strikes and control etc)
· Defence (Pre-fight & In-fight)
· Take-downs and Take-down defence
· Grappling (Standing and on the Ground)
· Ground Positions and Escapes
· Endings (Standing and on the Ground.  As their are no submisions on the street we train on the edge, as if we train for the attacker to submit they will only get up and start again.  Remember there are no rules in the street)
The training varies each week so one week the student may be working on their penetration skills and the next they could be working on NLP and pattern Interupts in their self defence. No matter what the subject, the techniques are walked through so the student feels confident with them and health and saftey is never compromised as the skills learnt are graded and can move from short sharp shock to K.O or a fatality. As the student progresses the resistance is increased to ensure the student can execute the techniques under pressures similar to that of a live situation but in class in a safe manner. As you can see by the picture the techniques are effective.
